What Pride Means to Us

Central Florida Pride is a veteran-owned nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of young athletes aged 8 to 18. CFL Pride embodies the spirit of America's favorite pastime. Our team colors—red, white, and blue—reflect our “pride” in our country and our gratitude to those who serve and protect it. We invite you to join us in our mission to provide a strong and supportive environment where youth can grow both as athletes and individuals. Together, we can help these young players develop the skills and values they need to succeed on and off the field.

Founded in 2012 in Sanford, Florida, Central Florida Pride began with a single 10U baseball team. This team, despite early challenges, grew to become a powerhouse on a national level. Initially, they were a team begging for guest players, but soon they became the team everyone wanted to play for. Their uniforms were covered in stars and stripes from head to toe making people turn their heads and wonder if they needed to salute. And what started as one team, soon became two.

Our founder, U.S. Army Veteran Chad Lee, had a vision to create something more for our community. Where most people saw an abandoned car auction, he saw potential. Car lanes became batting cages, and the parking lot turned into fields. What started as one team then became three, and the rest is history. Today, we average 15-20 baseball and softball teams per season, each practicing at this private facility we call, The Dugout.

Central Florida Pride continues to teach players the way of hard-nosed, heads-up baseball and softball. When our players step onto the field, they embody dedication and determination, playing hard on every pitch. Our athletes, coaches, and families continue to promote our program and uphold our tradition of excellence in sports, community, and the American spirit.

Our Teams

What we Do

We are dedicated to supporting young athletes' passion for baseball and softball. Our teams benefit from a unique mix of hired coaching and the option for qualified parent coaching, ensuring high-quality training and mentorship.

We understand that coaches, especially dad coaches, have many responsibilities, which is why we live by the philosophy "Let Coaches, Coach." This means we handle all the logistics, allowing our coaches to focus solely on developing our players' skills. We guarantee practice times at The Dugout, manage uniform orders, and handle rosters and tournament entries, creating an environment where coaches can fully dedicate their energy to coaching and players can thrive. This is the CFL Pride difference!

Our Facility

The Dugout - Sanford, FL

The Dugout is a premier indoor/outdoor baseball & softball training facility in Sanford Florida. Without ever putting a sign on the building, The Dugout has grown into one of the most recognizable facilities in Central Florida. No organization around has what the CFL Pride has. While many teams have some cages in a warehouse, no one else has their own cages AND two fields. We offer our youth teams scheduled practice time with these two fields, ten batting cages, and six pitching mounds. Members of our teams are automatic members at The Dugout. They are granted 24/7 access to the lounge, cages, and fields with an access control card. Here, teams are scheduled two practices a week, one on the field, and one in the cages. The Dugout is the perfect place to get extra work in during the week to get ready for your weekend games.
